Baptism

Baptism is in outward expression of an inward decision. Just as a husband or wife wears their wedding ring as an outward representation of their inward marriage, so baptism is an outward representation of an inward life-change.

Acts 2:41 says, “So those who received his word were baptized…” Those who repent and believe in Jesus Christ are baptized as the first step in obedience to God’s Word. It is a public declaration to the world saying, “I belong to Jesus now! My life is His!”
